Planète Plastique

An immersive interactive art installation exploring the impact of plastic waste on our planet.

Planète Plastique

Planète Plastics is an interactive art installation created by myself and José-Luis (aka Koto) as our final project at Collège La Cité. The project explores the lasting impact of plastic pollution on our planet—how it contributes to global warming, contaminates food supplies, and threatens ecosystems. By blending physical sculpture with interactive digital media, we invited participants to reflect on their daily consumption habits and the environmental footprint they leave behind.

Immersive Interaction

Visitors began by filling out a form detailing their day-to-day activities and consumption. This data was transformed into dynamic visuals projected across the 360° screens in L’Exentricité, La Cité’s immersive projection room. Each participant’s waste footprint appeared as garbage—bags, bottles, and plastic debris—with their name displayed alongside it. The visuals responded in real-time, growing in intensity based on the cumulative environmental impact.

The Making of Planète Plastique

Planète Plastic was created as my final project at Collège La Cité, in collaboration with my partner José-Luis (aka Koto). It was by far the most ambitious work I’ve ever undertaken, combining physical installation, interactive technology, and immersive storytelling. The concept was simple yet powerful: to visualize the invisible toll of plastic consumption and confront participants with the consequences of their own daily choices.
