Comme Des Garçons Projection Mapping

This project was created during my time at Collège La Cité as part of a school assignment. I chose to work with my favorite shoes — the Comme des Garçons Converse high-tops — and explored projection mapping by combining 3D design, animation, and physical projection. The goal was to bring a digital layer of expression to a familiar object.

3D Object Mapping

The process began with creating a precise 3D model of the shoes, which served as the digital canvas for the projection. This stage allowed me to explore object mapping techniques and deepen my understanding of 3D manipulation.

Animation Design

Building on the iconic Comme des Garçons heart-with-eyes motif, I designed animations that floated dynamically across the digital shoe model. This stage combined my love for playful visuals with technical animation workflows.

Real-Life Projection

The final step brought the digital elements into the physical world. Using projection hardware, the animations were mapped directly onto the shoes, blending technology and design into an interactive visual experience.
